    CODEC/Install, FLAC in WMP11?

Off topic for here, but I make occasional use of WMP11 for playing files on my computer's system (I mainly use a Squeezebox suite elswhere in the house). I've read somewhere that there is now a decent method for playing flac files from wmp.

I've been ripping all music to WMA lossless, in order to maintain useability in WMP, but would really rather be working in FLAC.

Advice as to what works best, CODEC and install wise?

What about WMP's ability to read FLAC tags?

    Ron

(please, no snarkiness about WMP, it's just a total convenience thing in one place, with libraries already built)

You can download either shark007 codec pack or CoreFLAC or MadFLAC. For tag support you would need to download wmptse. I use these to enable FLAC support in Windows 7 Media Center. It will work for 64 bit also.
