An ACM is a codec that can be accessed through Convert To >> Wave >> Change Settings

        Thanks, That was very usefull.
Look, i'm conveerting a wave file to mp2, this mp2 must have a RIFF header thats why i use qdesign acm.

So in scripting how i setup the wave file to use the acm?

          I GOT IT!!!!!

If you setup the mp3 setting and make a wave conversion
it get's the atributes of (in this case) mp2-riff header codec that i have installed.

Ok, now i found a problem.
the way i tricked it, i setup the mp3 and convert to wave, it take the codec propertys i need. If i re-setup for wave it does good, but if i re-setup back to mp3 it keeps in wave forever until i change it in the real dMC.

            What do you think.?

                Hi Jinx,

If you want an MP2 file with a RIFF header, try installing the
MP2 codec from Codec Central. This includes a BWFMP2
codec which does the RIFF/BWF header.

                Best regards,
                Daren.

                    Re: Acm

Hi. My problem is very similar to jinx'

I'd like to convert wave to mp2. but i get this error:

"The CODEC required to decompress 'F:\xyz.wav' could not be opened.
ACM Codec Not Installed 'UnKnown 353' "

how can i install this acm codec?

                      Re: Acm

You have to find what created the wave file to track down the ACM codec.

Where you got the wave files, find out what program created it.
