dAP not playing .OGGs made by dMC?

    1) Downloaded dBpowerAMP Audio Player
    2) Downloaded dBpowerAMP Music Converter
    3) Downloaded Ogg Vorbis codec from Codec Central
    4) Ripped a CD to Ogg Vorbis, VBR 96 at 44100
    5) Files weren't associated. Ran dAP, browsed to the files' directory: the files are not visible when browsing "Music Files and Playlists"
    6) Typed "*" under filename: all files visible. Chose a .OGG file, opened: dAP skips to the a random track in my Music Collection.
    7) Re-encoded as CBR 96: same.

*) dAP properly plays .MP3 and .WAV files. It does not play .WMA or .OGG.
*) Files encoded with dMC play properly under Winamp3.
*) Under Menu > Multiplayer > Codecs I have only "Midi Input Decoder," "Mpeg 1 Layer 3 input Decoder," and "Wave Input Decoder," despite having installed both the Ogg Vorbis and Windows Media Audio from COdec Central.

You must have dAP and dMC installed to different places, the ogg codec needs to be installed in the same place as dAP as well.

Sorry, I don't understand. I need to install them to different places? Or I must have installed them both to the same place and that's the problem?

They're both installed to F:\dBpowerAMP, as is the codec. If this is wrong, you might wanna put something on a readme or something, I don't think I'm the first person to guess they can both go in the same place since they're two "modules" of the "same program," kinda. Right?

It is ok for them to be both in the same location - if they are you should see:

        F:\dBpowerAMP\Amp.exe

        and

        F:\dBpowerAMP\MusicConverter.exe

I see what I did... I installed dMC into F:\dBpowerAMP, then dAP into F:\dBpowerAMP\dBpowerAMP. Oops! :P
