If using only 13.2 to decode MP3 to something else, is it still free?

I have seen the 13.2 working with my machine and I convert files to FLAC or mainly WMA.

The free version is allowing us to decode from MP3 without buying, correct? As long as we do not encode to MP3 with program, it is free to decode to other format? Or is MP3 decode only with purchase after 21 day try?

    Thank you

See this link for a description of the differences between the various versions of dBpoweramp Music Converter: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/db-versions.htm

The free version does allow decoding of mp3 files to other free formats (which includes FLAC and WMA and nearly all of the others that are found in Codec Central). The free version will also allow you to rip audio from CDs to any of the free encoding formats (for MP3 you would need the Power Pack and MP3 license). The free version does not support tag editing, the DSP effects, or the secure and ultra-secure CD ripping options (for which you would again need the registered Power Pack and MP3 license). If you do not use/need these features, then the free version should be fine for you.

      Best wishes,
      Bill

It is helpful to know decoding is legal without fees for MP3.

Now I will search to discover the uses for Power Amp. More can be done than I first think it would.
