dBpoweramp Batch Converter - no Network disks

    Music converter works fine.
It finds my Home Server Network Music folders.
It works if I Map to it as well.

However, when I start the Batch COnverter I cannot see either all my Network
or the mapped drive. This means I cannot convert except 1 folder at a time with Music Converter.

Not sure if it has always been like this. I registered my dbpweramp stuff and did re-installs today.

PC ( Vista Home ) has been rebooted and this does not work.

Am I missing some configuartion , registery or do you think I have something bugged or coorupt.

    many thanks
    /Stephen

Mapped drives should always appear no matter what, Batch Converter does not know a drive is a network drive or real drive.

Re: dBpoweramp Batch Converter - no Network disks

      Hi,

I can see the mapped drive and the network server on every application I use, except the Batch Converter Tree. examples....
      Windows Media player
      Tag&Rename
      dbpoweramp CD ripper
dbpoweramp Music Converter ( none batch )

The mapped drive ( Z ) also does not show in the tree. Tried various other letters.

The Network only shows this PC not my Windows Home Server Music in the tree.

This would tend to lean towards the Batch Converter Interface, as everything else is working OK. It seems to only look at the PC it is running on.

      regards Stephen

Re: dBpoweramp Batch Converter - no Network disks

        Did some investigating.
FOund it was the Domain name on the Server, it was supplied with a default
        Workgroup = 'WorkGroup'

I changed my PC to this, rebooted, and the Batch Converter now shows the Media Server.

I changed it back, rebooted, and it fails again.

So I have changed the workgroup name on the Server to match the 4 pcs.

Still not sure why everthing else did not object / check and worked with either setting.

Oh..well.. guess it might help someone ( like me ) new to MS Home Server.

        regards
