    Release 13.2 and 24 bit conversion?

    Windows Vista 32/64 bit system, 5.1 speakers.

    Trying to convert a wav file to mp3 file. Using these settings:

    CBR = 192 kbps
    encoding = high quality,
    DSP Settings:
    Bit Depth - 24 bit
    channel mapper = 6 "5.1 Surround" (DVD).

    After conversion, the tag shows:
    Channels 2 (stereo)
    Sample Rate 44.1KHz
    Sample size 16 bit
    Bit rate 192kbps

    How do i get an output of 24-bit with 5.1 channels?

    Thank you,
    savagcl

    mp3 is only 2 channel, unless using mp3 surround (but nothing supports that)

      Ok, thanks Spoon.

      So, Is the 5.1 channel dependent on the sound card or what?
      Is there a different output format required for 5.1?
      What DSP Effects\Actions are needed to get 5.1 @24 bits?

      About the 24 bit - I can see the wav files showing 24 bit but
      still @ 2 channel.

      Thanks,
      savagcl

        mp3 does not support 5.1
