    Auxiliary Input Conversions

    Hi Spoon,

I have a question for you. Is there a way to speed up the record and conversions to MP3s, using the Auxiliary Input program?

I have just spent about 2hrs. recording and converting one cassette recording over to MP3 format, can this be done a faster way. I have power pack installed, but not sure how to make it speed up my conversions.

Can you please assist me on this task?

The powerpack was designed to record at a 1x speed, (i.e. a half-hour cassette would take a half-hour to record), so that's basically a fixed speed. Since you're recording to mp3, for a faster conversion speed I use the MPEG Suite 2000, it's a CLI encoder but since you have the powerpack you can use it. There's really not an easy way around the 1x recording speed, since not many people own cassette players that can play faster than that.

      Thanks Master Of Puppets,

I kind of found an easier way, You are right. I have a digital cassette player and it records at or slightly faster than 1x.

I have found that it is easier and faster to convert to wave files first, and then convert them to mp3 afterwards.

      Thanks again!!!!
