Re: How to use mp3 Helix?
I have just noticed that I have the same issue using dMC r13.3 and the Real Healix v6. I only have the option to encode to .ra. The only mp3 encoder I have is lame.
Attempted to uninstall and reboot before installing the codec again but it made no difference.
This is on my new PC. It worked on my previous machine.Comment

Re: How to use mp3 Helix?
This may sound very basic, but ... I've just installed the Helilx codec in Ref 13.2 with no problems, so I wondered; after downloading the codec from codec central, loading it into the Illustrate folder did you then double click on the file to install it? It takes a few seconds, involves scrolling thru EUL and so on,but it works after that Good luck, TonyComment

Re: How to use mp3 Helix?
the codec appears to install successfully however only the Convert To Real Media option is available. The MP3 (Helix) option is not present.
My old PC had an AMD 1.5 GHz processor whilst my new PC has an Intel Core 2 Quad.Comment

Re: How to use mp3 Helix?
In dMC configuration, the codec shows as Real Audio (Helix MP3). I converted a 7.2mB fiel using that codec, and it completed in 7 seconds, resulting in a 6.2mB mp3 file. That seems to be the order of things, but maybe Spoon would confirm, whether we should see some other information in the codecs installed window, or in the right click convert to menu. Certainly, right clicking on the converted file show it as .ra, but then, is this a tagging issue? TonyLast edited by petriburg; July 14, 2009, 03:23 AM.Comment
