Batch converter not copying some folder.jpg's

I am having a problem with batch converter not copying all of the folder.jpg's from the source file folders to the target file folders in r13.2

I am converting from flac folders to m4a folders and have id-tagging - export album art to folder.jpg + import album art from folder.jpg checked.

Some (about 1/2) of the albums proper copy the folder.jpg over to the target file. Others do not.

I have checked the attributes on the source folder.jpgs and they are no different - not hidden or protected. Some are Folder.jpg others folder.jpg and they seem to copy both, just not consistantly.

Is there some sort bug on size limit where it will only copy over 250x250 or smaller jpg's? Because some of mine are 600x600.

    Any help is appreciated.

Perhaps the type of jpeg file, it you take one without the folder.jpg, have a look at the m4a file, does it contain an embedded jpeg file? (hold the mouse over and look at the Contains: line)

      Yes,

They all contain the embedded jpg. It is just not always copied as folder.jpg to the destination directory. The flac files also have an embedded jpg in them however.

The problem seems to be the exporting from ID Tag to Folder.jpg as there is not a straight copy done.

Ok, I think I found out the problem.

If the original flac has album art embedded in the tags, then it correctly copies folder.jpg into the destination directory and embeds album art in the destination file.

However, if the original flac only has a folder.jpg in it's folder, but not embedded in the file, then it will properly embed the album art in the destination file, but will NOT copy the folder.jpg to the destination directory.

Is this a bug or by design?

Are you using Multi encoder or something special (encoding to network)?

Re: Batch converter not copying some folder.jpg's

I have the same problem. I just switched over to dbpoweramp after being an Exact Audio Copy user for many years....love the program.

I noticed after ripping a few dozen albums that the program was not adding album gain tags to my files even though I specified to do so in the original rip (using multi-encoder).

After some research online I found that you cannot add album gain during the rip when using multi-encoder (even thought the GUI allows you to select it). So, I altered my routine to rip just to flac at first, then use the batch converter to add the gain to the flac and to encode to mp3. This worked just fine and may even be a better workflow that using mult-encoder straight away BUT the batch converter does not copy the Folder.jpg files. So I am stuck going through each directory and moving the Folder.jpg files manually.

Is there a way to tell the batch program to move the Folder.jpg when present?

If not, I may have to break down and write a script to do it as I am starting a massive effort to rip my entire collection. Album gain is a must have for me because I usually listen to albums not individual songs.

Yes by using the DSP effect ID Tag processing, import the folder.jpg and export the folder.jpg

                  That worked perfectly...Thanks!

While setting this up I noticed that I could import/export the replay gain tags. If I am converting from FLAC to MP3 in batch can I simply copy the replay gain tag info from the FLAC into the MP3 or do they need to be recalculated in the MP3 format?

You are best recalulating them for the mp3 files.

Nothing special, just using db batch converter. All files on the same box

If you were to convert 1 file (where the folder.jpg does not copy over) with Right Click >> Convert To >>

(using the same DSP settings), if the folder.jpg does not create, please send the audio file + folder.jpg
