error cannot create wave decoder (ley u de CCITT)

    Hello

I have a .wav file and i need to convert it to .wav file with that format: CCITT u law, 8khz, 8 bit mono, 7kb/sec. I am use dbpoweramp music converter but when i try to convert my file the program report me that error:
Error Cannot Create Wave Decoder (Ley u de CCITT)? [clWaveDecoder::PrepareToDecodeAudio]

How can do for change the format of my current .wav file?

    Thanks

What are the settings (channels, bit-rate, sampling frequency) of the .wav file you are trying to convert? Are you trying to write the CCITT U-law file to the same destination as the original .wav file? Are you selecting to overwrite the original wave file?

I assume that you have opened dbpoweramp music converter (r12.0 or later), that you selected the file you wished to convert, and were able to select to convert to Compressed wave, CCITT U-law, at 8 kHz, 8 bit mono, 7 kb/sec, and that when you did so and then went ahead with the conversion that you got the error message.

I have not been able to get this error message when converting to CCITT U-law at the settings you specify but I do note that the files appear to have a bitrate of 56 to 64 kbs even though I have selected the setting of 7 kbs.

      Best wishes,
      Bill
