    mp3 to .cda

    Hi everybody,

I'm a "newbee" to format conversions-so,please be understanding to my "dumb" question(s)!!! I just downloaded the trial version program to see how good a job the program does in converting mp3's to .cda format. Unfortunately,I can't seem to find a way to do this-it seems that the program only converts mp3 to .wav. I can't find a "codec" for this either-for a win98 system. Can someone help me find the correct "codec" for this program? Thanks.

Have a look at 'dbPowerAMP CD Writer'. Really there is no such thing as a .cda audio file it is just how windows displays tracks on an audio CD. To write an audio CD you need a CD writing program.

      reply:mp3 to .cda

Thanks SPOON for the rapid reply!!
I have a Plextor cd-rw that came with Nero 5 burning software. You say that .cda in not a format-if this is true, then, what format should I convert mp3 files to if I plan to burn my own cd that will play ok on car or home standard cd players-and still have mp3 quality sound playback? Thanks.

Wave - any burning software will take that file.
