.ASF error

here is the msg when trying to convert from .asf to MP3:

Error converting to Test Conversion, 'C:\Users\SETH-DIANA\Desktop\Replay AV\Jeff Levy\Jeff Levy May 02.asf' to 'C:\Users\SETH-DIANA\Desktop\Replay AV\Jeff Levy\Jeff Levy May 02.IGNORE'
Error opening file 'C:\Users\SETH-DIANA\Desktop\Replay AV\Jeff Levy\Jeff Levy May 02.asf' check no other program has it open and file is not protected. [clDecoder::Open]


Whats happening & is there a fix (or a codec I am missing)?

Not very (big) - about an hour - very sorry that can not give in MB or KB size as I am at work and PC is at home.
This is a guess, but maybe 195 KB.

It is a playlist, open in Notepad to find the real file it points to.

So .asf & .m3u's are both playlists ?
then I guess what I recorded, well did not record.

ASF can be either playlist or audio.
