Convert only Apple Lossless from M4A library

    Hi,

I have an iTunes library of M4A files, which include both Apple Lossless and AAC files. These are duplicates, the AAC is for my iPhone, the Apple Lossless for my stereo (via a SqueezeBox).

Since the SqueezeBox can handle FLAC better than Apple Lossless I would like to convert it. However since both Apple Lossless and AAC use the M4A extension I have no idea how to tell the Music Converter which files to convert without selecting them manually.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks and regards, Robert

Batch Converter >> Select root folder >> 'List' the files and sort on BitRate, lossless will be shown together.

      Hi Spoon,

Thanks for the hint, it works fine.

Do you have any idea if there is a way to automate this, like in a Windows batch file or VBScript?

      Thanks and regards, Robert

If you were good at vbscript yes, as you can use the COM object to read those settings and convert the files you want.
