Re: Upgrading to Reference 13.2 - Now PerfectMeta has stopped

Ref. entries 4/10 (Re: Upgrading to Reference 13.2 - It's broken! Help!)

All was fine for a week, but now Perfectmeta access shut down - said I need to buy subscription. My understanding was with ref. purchase it should run 1 year from date of purchase. (original trial install was 30 days ago)

    Invoice info:
    Date: 9 Apr 09

Do not post your order number please, others can take over your downloads...

      To Activate Perfect meta, run:

Note that activating the PerfectMeta subscription is a separate step from installing dMC. The e-mail you received should have had a download link to the utility Spoon linked too, which activates your PerfectMeta subscription.

Okay so I got the same problem too. I upgraded to R13.2 and now on the dBpoweramp Configuration box it says 'Access Expired'
I downloaded ActivateAMG.exe and when the prompt ask for the 'R' or 'U' number I pasted my 'Rxxxxxxxx' number click on 'activate' and got "This order number is invalid, or not entitled to AMG access."

          what went wrong?

Upgrades (perhaps R12 >> R13) do not include perfect meta, so you would have to activate off an original order number which is less than a year old. If you believe you have such please Personal Message me that order number.

Nope...previous registration was more than a year ago.
I'll go and renew for a yer access.
BTW $5/year - who gets the profit? Why the need to purchase access to PerfectMeta?
              Just curious...:o

Because the providers are charging for access to their meta-data.

Help, I upgraded to reference 13.2.....i have always used the compressed setting and the format setting of MP3....with the new version I no longer have the option of MP3 under the format. Can someone help me with the settings. I want to convert mp3 to wav files. I have used the older version for about 2 years now with no problem until i updgraded to the new 13.2
Please can someone help? thank you!

                        Re: Upgrading to Reference 13.2

There are different types of wave file, uncompressed (PCM) and various compressed wave files (containing mp3), I am guessing you are after mp3.

The older version, i chose the compressed file then settings i was able to choose mp3 but there is no mp3 anymore. there is CCITT-u law, CCITT-A law, IMA ADPCM, Messenger Audio Codec, Microsoft Audio Codec and PCM

                          Which one do I choose?

The older version had MP3 with 44,000khz,8 bit stereo....which shall i choose now?

I have mp3 that I want to convert to wav files.

                          Thanks,Budgie

dBpoweramp does not populate that box, rather these are ACM codecs present on your system. See:

Q: I am missing options under Compressed WAV that I had in previous versions. A: Try either a 'Wave' compression and select Wave-Mp3 or install the LAME ACM codec here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/LAME_ACM_Codec.htm
