FLAC->WAV gives different file than FLAC->ALAC->WAV?

I am trying to convert some FLAC files to Apple Lossless so i can import them into my itunes library, but the result is not as expected.

    I did the following:

    1. Converted the original FLAC to ALAC, FLAC and APE using dbpoweramp (APE and FLAC just to check).
    2. Converted all of the above created files to WAV using dbpoweramp.
    3. Asked QuickSFV to generate CRC for each file

The result of step 3 was:
    ; Generated by QuickSFV v2.36 on 2009-03-15 at 11:51:37
    ; http://www.QuickSFV.org
    ;
    ; 44549164 11:50.46 2009-03-15 APE.01 She Caught The Katy.wav
    ; 44549162 11:51.21 2009-03-15 APPLE.01 She Caught The Katy.wav
    ; 44549164 11:48.38 2009-03-15 FLAC.01 She Caught The Katy.wav
    ; 44549164 11:51.04 2009-03-15 FLAC2.01 She Caught The Katy.wav
    APE.01 She Caught The Katy.wav AD02A10B
    APPLE.01 She Caught The Katy.wav B67EA911
    FLAC.01 She Caught The Katy.wav AD02A10B
    FLAC2.01 She Caught The Katy.wav AD02A10B
Here FLAC is from the original file and FLAC2 is the FLAC file output by dbpoweramp. APPLE is the WAV from the Apple lossless file and APE is the WAV from the APE file.

As highlighted, the apple lossless file is 2 bytes shorter.

I am using dbpoweramp 13.1, Apple Lossless codec is release 8, FLAC is release 13.1 (FLAC 1.2.1).

Am i wrong in expecting all the above (WAV) files to have the exact same content?

Either Wave header differences or Wave Tagging differences.

We have a utility codec [calculate CRC] which calculates only on the audio data, you can get this codec in the Reference Codec pack.

I figured it was something like that, but i was not 100% sure since all the other lossless encodes yielded exactly the same file.

The Calculate CRC codec does indeed yield the same CRC for the original FLAC WAV and the ALAC WAV.

      Thanks alot.
