dbpoweramp Edit ID-Tag - track info keeps disappearing

I right-clicked on an mp3 file and selected dbpoweramp: Edit ID-Tag and changed the artist, title & genre info. I clicked "OK", but when I checked the mp3 file again, the old information was still present. I repeated these steps several times and then finally just selected "clear", to clear all info and start fresh. It cleared everything, and no longer reverts back to the old info, but even after I enter the new info and click "OK" it still just stays blank instead of showing the new info I have entered.

    I believe I am using version 13.1

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

If the mp3 file has an id3v2.4 tag, then dbpoweramp is not able to edit it.

How do you determine if it has an "id3v2.4 tag" ?

      Thanks

You need to locate a tag editor that supports id3v2.4. One program that I know about is iTunes which can be used to convert v2.4 to v2.3.

Usually a good sign that you are dealing with v2.4 tags is that all the tag entries disappear after using dMC to make a change.
