TAG Update - Possible bug report

Hi all, checking to see if this is a problem for anyone else or am I doing something wrong.

I downloaded some HiRez files from Linn and they did not have a tag for album artist in the flac file.
I highlighted the flac files in Explorer and selected 'Convert to' and chose the 'ID Tag Update' in the 'Converting To:' drop down box.
I selected the 'Additions' tab and selected 'Add New' followed by selecting ‘Album Artist’ from the drop down list. I then filled in the album artist name clicked 'Convert >>' to add the tag to the existing flac files. This seemed to update the flac files with the album artist.
After completing the update I right clicked the flac file from Explorer followed by clicking 'Properties' and then the 'ID-Tag' tab. I could see the TAG 'Album Artist' like the other CDs I ripped using dBpoweramp.
I added the files to my ReadyNAS running Twonky 4.4.9 and did a data base rebuild.

After the rebuild the new files were not listed under Album Artist but they were listed under Unknown.

After careful investigation I found the following:

    (1) When ripping CDs using dBpoweramp the field called Album Artist in the upper right corner of the dBpoweramp screen is converted to 'ALBUMARTIST' in the ripped files.

    (2) When using 'Edit ID-Tag' from Explorer and adding a new tag - using 'Album Artist' from the drop down list results in a tag called 'Album Artist' in the file.

    (3) When using 'Convert To' and the 'ID Tag Update' codec from Explorer and adding a new tag using 'Album Artist' from the drop down list on the 'Additions' tab results in a tag called 'Album Artist' in the file.

Situations 2 and 3 seem to operate the same way but it is different from dBpoweramp, situatio 1, when ripping CDs.

Twonky does not recognize 'Album Artist' but does recognize 'ALBUMARTIST' so my ripped CDs are OK but if I add a new tag using 'ID Tag-update' or 'Convert To' I get results that are not recognized.

I would prefer that 'ID Tag-update' and 'Convert To' would provide the same results as dBpoweramp.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I do know that I can override the new tag name to ‘ALBUMARTIST’ and the flac file will be updated with a tag called ‘ALBUMARTIST’ and Twonky can list the files properly. It is possible but it does not seem consistent across the three methods.

All previous versions of the FLAC codec used to use 'Album Artist' the latest one uses 'AlbumArtist', but it should not be different for CD Ripper or Edit Tag, or Convert To as they use the same underlying flac codec (I have just tested a edit tag and works as expected).

Re: TAG Update - Possible bug report

      Hi,
I was using FLAC R13 when I reported the problem.
I have just upgraded to FLAC R13.1 and it works as expected.
Sorry for the confusion but thanks for the help.
      The problem is solved.
