Error msg .asf convert

Hello!
I tried several times now to convert the .asf files from the game Need for speed hot pursuit, but i get error message everytime after 2 seconds in the convert process.
Ive installed the codecs correctly and restarted the machine endless times to be sure evrything gets done right.
I also downloaded codecs and converter several times just to be sure. I cant get the player to play .asf files either with the codecs provided from dbpoweamp, it seems the machine thinks the files is not there even though he finds it and starts the player.
ARRRGGGHHH!
I guess im going crazy soon.

I have come across this file before, Windows Media Player will not even play it, just because it has a .asf extension does not mean it is an .asf file.
