    dbpoweramp core converter has stopped working

    :(Hi
    I am hoping someone can help me with a problem I am having first let me say I'm running Vista 64 bit & a core 2 duo processorwith the latest version of dbpoweramp. While doing a batch conversion of mp3's (converting 128 to 160). While doing the batch conversion this keeps popping up even though the program is still running, all I do is close the prompt. It's very annoying. I left the program running and went to bed when I came back it had 542 of these prompts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    It is a known issue with writing ID3v2 unicode tags (where there is a www. source tag), a new beta this week will fix this issue.

            @Gum56
            Sorry for busting into this discussion: but I am asking myself, why you'd want to do this conversion - I would encourage you to not do it, since you will not receive a better sound quality, but an even worse one instead.

            The reason for this: mp3 is a lossy format. Encoding @ 128 will mask (and loose) certain parts of the original (@128 that's quite much!) that cannot be restored or improved by re-encoding an mp3 to a higher bitrate.
            Instead, when recompressing (even at higher bitrates, like you planned to), you will introduce artifacts, that will deteriorate the sound even more than leaving the files as they are right now.
            So, the only way to make your old files sound better (if you want to achieve that) is recompressing them from the original CD's/Wav's/lossless originals.
