    DMC & MP3Gain

    Hi,

New kid on the block here. I have read the FAQ, and searched past messages, but can't seem to find anything about this subject. Ok, when I rip cd's, I encode them to 128 mp3's with volume normalization set. My question is, do I really need to use mp3gain? Or is it overkill on the mp3's? My understanding is that mp3gain is also a volume normalize program. Or did I miss something? Does mp3gain do anything that dmc doesn't? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

It shouldn't do anything more, try them both and see.

Thanks for the reply Spoon. I did try them both seperately on the same mp3...then together on the mp3. I didn't notice any difference. I thought that mp3gain would be overkill and a waste of time. I'll just stay with dmc for everything that I need/want. Thanks again Spoon.
