Error: Error Cannot Create Wave Decoder (CCITT u-Law)

Hi there,

I've just upgraded to v13.1, running with Win XP SP3.

I have Windows Media 11.

I am having conversion errors when trying to convert WAV to MP3.

Any thoughts/ideas?

It might be worth keeping a copy of R11.5 around for these conversions, but on vista even R11.5 cannot do these conversions...

When I originally bought, I got v12.1. Is it possible to get 11.5 somewhere?

We have made a software that uses the command line possibilities from Dbpoweramp 13. We want to use our program to make automatic conversion from CCITT A-law. Is there any way to do this? Is it a Microsoft problem that the [COLOR="red"]decoder cannot be created[/COLOR]? In version dbpoweramp 11 it works fine.
Can you help us? I can send a sample file if you want to do some tests.

In our testing we found that R11 would not function (A-law conversion) on Windows 7, so there seemed little point in getting R12,R13,R14 upto the point of R11 (on XP).

Thank you for your answer.
Our problem is that we want to convert a CCITT A-law file to another format. This works fine with dbpoweramp R11. When we try to convert the same file with dbpoweramp R13, it gives us the error "cannot create wave decoder (CCITT A-Law)? [clWaveDecoder::PrepareToDecodeAudio]".
We don't want to downgrade our dbpoweramp software because our software works only fine together with R13.

I am sorry we provide no facility to do such a conversion in R13, or R14.
