mp3 -> .aac not preserving idtags

Hey guys, yeah i just got an iphone and well basically i am just trying to convert my mp3s to aac (to save space) but when im done converting, all the tags are gone except artist and song.

is there any way to convert while preserving all that tags? i download the dsp plugin and tried messing with the "id tag processing" but i have no clue what i am doing...any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

.aac does not have an official taggin standard, you are best using .m4a if you can.
