When trying to convert some FLAC cd's to mp3s, I find that it claims to convert successfully and quickly, but creates files that are 625 bytes in size and (obviously) do nothing. There is nothing wrong with the FLAC files, the conversion just doesn't seem to be working right.

Check that there are no DSP effects running. -
Re: FLAC to mp3 creating non-working files
No, nothing like that. It has the option to add them but I haven't added any.
Also, doing it the exact same way is working fine for other FLAC files. But I have three CDs worth that are just making junk.
I just noticed that for some reason Poweramp is reading these FLACs as having a zero length, even though they play perfectly fine.Comment

Re: FLAC to mp3 creating non-working files
When I mouse over them, they show as:
Sample Rate: 44.1 kHz
Sample Size: 16 bit
Channels: 2 (stereo)
Bit Rate: 1,441 kbps (CD)
Length: 0
I don't know how to run them through FLAC Frontend. What program is that? All I know is that they play fine; no skips or crackles or anything that would indicate a messed-up file that I can tell.Comment

They play fine in what? Winamp?Comment

Re: FLAC to mp3 creating non-working files
They might be using a 'non official' FLAC library (winamp does).Comment
