    Mp-20 MP3 will not play

    I tried to rip with Lame, however my Mp player doesn't seem to recognize this format, is this possible?

    What would be the best codec to use to rip CD and then send to the MP-20, and at what settings?

    MAke sure that the Option to Create ID3v2 tags is 'Never V2' (in dMC Configuration, also create a Constant Bit Rate mp3 (do not use a preset from Advanced).

      I have "Never V2" and also Constant Bit Rate is checked off under the advanced tap. But still MP-20 will not play it?

        Hi Spoon

        (no longer unregistered)

        This is what I have under dMC -

        Advanced Lame Options:
        Encoding=constant bitrate
        Preset Quality=Normal Quality
        Set Bits=Original
        Write CRC Checksum not checked off.

        Compression Settings:
        Bit rate=128 Kbps
        Channel=Dual Channel
        Frequency=48000Hz

            Yes!
            When I look at the MP-20 "original software" under windows98, good MP3s (Mp3s that will play) show an icon, like a little disk with a music symbol, however Mp3 encoded with lame show up with an icon that looks like a little floppy disk, I guess this would indicate a data file, which the player does not recognizing as an MP3.

            I was trying to post a screen shot, but didn't know how to do this.
