Why can't DB detect cache on two different drives now?

I've had the Samsung SH203S drive before and now have the SH223Q. Both drives report 2048MB cache in the Technical info, but when I go to detect it, it says no cache found :(

    i'm using Vista 64 SP1, SPT communication.

"cache" (the manufacturer provided number) and "audio cache" (used when performing audio extraction) are distinct.

In my testing, I believe there's good evidence that the SH20x and SH22x do not cache audio. Which is a good thing.

I'm still wary of the C2 support on the Samsung drives. It seems inevitable that when a bad large frame is reported, it ends up having to rerip dozens or hundreds of large frames each time. I'm not quite sure what is going on there, but it seems a little like the drives are reporting errors that aren't actually there.
