TagFromFilename Question

I'm attempting to use the TagFromFilename utility to tag all my WAVs before converting to FLAC. But I can't seem to get it to work properly.

Here is what I've done & the results

file name in format: 01-Higher Power-Got to Wake Up.wav

format chosen from TagFromFilename: [track]-[album]-[title]

I convert, click Finish, check the tags and there are NONE.

I can't figure out what I'm doing incorrect. A little help please?

What program are you using to see if the tags were written to the files?

I select the files in Windows File Manager, right-click and choose dBpoweramp's Edit ID-Tag.

So, you point dBpoweramp to your WAV files, select the "Tag From Filename" utility codec, specify the naming scheme, then tell it to convert. Then you go to the "Edit Tag" page and it shows no tags, correct?

If you add a tag here, click OK, then go back to Edit Tag, does it still show up?

Have you tried this with other filetypes?

You're correct in you statement of my problem.

I can get it to work with MP3s...just not my WAVs.

Well, I converted one of my files to WAV and wiped out the tags, then used the [Tag From Filename] codec on it and the tags appear just fine, so I'm not sure what's going on.

Try uninstalling dBpoweramp and all the codecs, then reinstall it and try again.

well, thanks for your attempt. I'm resolving myself to more pain as I'll probably be re-ripping my entire collection in FLAC...like I should have initially.
