Edit ID Tags No Longer Available

    Ok, a little annoyed

My free trial has just expired on being able to use the Edit ID tag function on music I've ripped using DBpoweramp.

I've just forked out 18$ on upgrading my registration so that it would become available again and now when I click on it - it says it does not recognise any tags at all!!!

I have a squeezebox and fortunately that still seems to recognise that my computer has ID tags saved on it - but I'm unable to edit any of them.

Has anyone else experienced this? Anyone got any suggestions? - I would be very grateful!

Short of re-installing everything on my computer which takes forever I can't think of anything else. I have taken DBpoweramp off a few times and completely reset it using the relevant thread on this forum but that hasn't helped either!!! Please help!!

    Thanks

      Hi

They're in flac format. A week ago they were working absolutely fine. Would right click - edit id tags and then would show me all the info.

I did this morning and it said need powerpack to use id tag. So I upgraded from my trial offer and downloaded the new version of 13 with 130 files this time instead of the usual 128. Edit ID tags now opens but it says there are no tags to display when I know there are!!!

      Thanks

What does dBpoweramp Configuration say is your version, and does it say you're Registered?

Hi. It's version 13.1 and yes it does say I'm registered.

Perhaps the flac files do not have ID tags, hold the mouse over one of the files it should show ID tags in the popup.

but it's worked properly for months and now suddenly not - i don't know what's changed.

I've actually just blanked my computer and copied back over all my files again - redownloaded dbpoweramp to get the free trial again to see if that would work and it STILL doesn't work. I'm very irritated by it as I have tags on there that I would like to edit and am otherwise very happy using the program and don't want to have to search for another one that will work.

Any other ideas of what it might be?

              Thanks

Ok - I've just reinstalled the flac codec and it now seems to be working again (obviously using the trial) all will be fine for 21 days until I have to re register my upgrade. I'll drop you a line then and let you know how that goes.

                Cheers
