Wav To flac With Taging (1600 Albums) Help!

Ok I have 1600 cdS dumped into my pc as wav files.

I now realize I need to convert to flac in order to tag. so my squeezebox unit can see my music correctly


Files are organized E:/Artists/Albums/tracks
Some files seem to have tags but some do not. The one that didn’t I used wmp to find album info
In wmp all art and info shows up correctly for the wav files

I want to be able to set up dbpower to convert my whole folder at once
How to I configure dbpoweramp that I just paid for to convert the wav files to flac and organize in the same format as the existing wav folder?
Also can db power grab the tag info from wmp files or does it have to search the internet.

Also during this conversion how do I verify proper tag info

I really want to get this right this time….If I need to rip them all in again from cd to flac then I will but it take so muck time.

Oh yeah one last thing can I dbpower twice (one for each burner I have) therefore allowing 2 cds to be ripped at once

Which version of dMC did you buy? Powerpack or Reference?

I suggest that you download and install the Utility codecs such as "Tag From filename" as this can be used to update the tags based on the individual filenames and folder structure once they are in the flac format. Not sure if there is a DSP that does something similar.

What happens if you right-click on one of the wav files with wmp tags. Does the tag information appear in the properties?

The thing is i want this to happen during the conversion from wav to flac.

What happes with cover art?

Your wave files do not have ID tags, so first you have to add them with the [tag from filename] utility codec (in codec central).
