multi-cpu conversion to ape not working...

    Hello,

When I originally converted my library from ALAC/APE to FLAC, my quad-core was supported and 4 conversions happened simultaneously. I now have to convert my library from FLAC back to APE, and only 1 CPU is now utilized. I haven't changed anything I know of - I upgraded from R13 to R13.1 without any success.

Please help? Is the CPU limitation due to the APE programming?

    Thanks.

Some lossless formats don't use multi-CPU, as with these formats the HDD is the bottleneck, not the CPU.

Correct the slowest part is the HDD, if you want multi-cpu with ape, use the DSP effect 'multi cpu force', bt I think your conversions will be slower.

Thank you both. I believe I mistook my previous ripping to FLAC as conversion, but regardless I will play with settings. If I find anything of interest, I will report back.
