Imbedded JPGs missing?

I'm in the process of converting a bunch of FLACs to MP3 for use on an iPod.

All of the FLACs have JPG images imbedded in the file -- album covers, etc. Unfortunately, the JPGs do not appear in the MP3s. The ID3 tags are fine.

Is there a way to force dMC to retain the imbedded JPG in the converted file?

Right click on an FLAC file >> Edit ID Tag it should show the album art as the last item in the list, does it? do the same for the mp3 file.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, Spoon.

No, the imbedded JPG does not show up when I right-click the file and use the dBPowerAmp "Edit ID Tag" feature.

However, the imbedded JPG does show up in Tag & Rename and all other similar FLAC tag editing programs.

Make sure you have the latest dBpoweramp programs installed (music converter R13.1 and latest flac codec), because when I right click on the flac file you sent >> Edit ID Tag it says:

I didn't see any difference between versions 12.1 and 13.1. In both cases, what I see is "Edit ID Tag" is a blank space under "Album Art," with a button to [Add Album Art].

One thing that troubles me is that, under Audio Shell Information in Properties, the Cover Art section says:

"Cover not supported by Tag standard."

Do you have an explanation for this? Again, the cover art was added with Tag & Rename, which supports ID3, Ogg, and quite a few other tag standards.

I'm confused, because I've done this before with Apple Lossless files and dBpoweramp, and the conversion worked fine -- the embedded JPGs went across just fine.

What tagg setting do you have for FLAC in dBpoweramp Configuration, ID3v2 or Vorbis Comments?

Audio Shell is not our program.

Vorbis comments. The tags are coming through just fine -- all of them, including comments, year, track number, and so on. Only the embedded JPEGs are getting stripped out. (Again, this conversion is from FLAC to MP3.)

I see no option regarding how to handle JPEG images for the Music Converter config.

So your FLAC doesn't show the album art, does your mp3 file show it properly?

The FLAC shows the album art within Tag & Rename. The album art does not copy with the file when it gets converted to MP3.

dBpoweramp Configuration >> Check for Updates - make sure your flac codec is latest.
