Selective addition of Replaygain to FLAC files

Sorry if this is covered here elsewhere, but I did a search and read several threads without figuring this out.

I have about 400 or so discs ripped to FLAC without the use of Replaygain. I am fine with minor fluctiations in volume as I don't do a lot of shuffle playback or playlists. However, occasionally I have discs that are just too quiet and I would like to use replaygain to boost volume on these.

It appears I have to select replaygain under DSP and reconvert (FLAC-FLAC) the files with replaygain, is that correct? Is there any other way to add these tags? Is there anyway to ensure I get the volume boost I want on these files?

    Thanks

use the [ReplayGain] utility codec to add these values with no re-encoding required. When you are already doing re-encoding, make sure you add the DSP effect then.

I have the same problem. How do I use this codec. I cannot find it as a seperate utility in R14. I can of course add it to DSP/Action but cannot see how I can switch off the flac conversion.

You get it from Codec Central, it is a virtual encoder.
