Mono AAC file displayed as stereo in info window

Just a cosmetic problem really, but in both the window you get when you mouse-over a file, and the right-click, properties-audio properties window like this one:

    Artist Paul Simon
    Title Cars Are Cars
    Album Hearts And Bones
    Track 9
    Disc 1/1
    Genre Pop
    Year 1983
    Rating
    Composer
    Size 2.37 MB (93% Compressed)
    Original Size 32.85 MB
    Length 3 minutes 15 seconds
    Channels 2 (stereo)
    Sample Rate 44.1 KHz{CR}
    Sample Size 16 bit
    Bit Rate 100 kbps
    Encoder AAC (LC)
    Encoder Settings
    Audio Quality Low (Lossy)
    Contains ID Tag [Apple iTunes]
    Channel Mapping
    File 09-Cars Are Cars
    Type MP4 [.m4a]

both say mono AAC files are stereo. I'm sure it doesn't do the same with MP3s. Would be nice/helpful if this was fixed, just to avoid any confusion.

(NB I did listen to make sure that this file really was mono! For readers benefit, the bit rate gives it away too - this was using Q 0.6)

Edit: in case it makes a difference - XP SP 2, 13.1 Reference.
