    Converting flac to aac

When trying to convert, i keep getting a message that says, before converting you must install a utlility from nerodigital.com. I think I did that, and pasted the nero aac in the encoder folder. What am i missing?

In the folder, only text document, neroAacEnc, and the bitmap image is there,
    the other 3 are not

    encoder Text Document
    Nero Bitmap Image
    neroAacEnc Application

I believe M4a (nero), that is I pasted it in that folder.

another thing i should mention, when I installed the program , i changed the default folder, so I do not gave a folder that says

      C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp\encoder\m4a Nero (AAC)

I tried unistalling and reinstalling, but it defaults to program files.

I pasted the neroAacEnc in a folder that just says encoder in the program files.

You need to put the encoder into the "m4a Nero (AAC)" folder inside the encoder folder.

yes, that's what I did, however i still get that message
that a separate component needs to be installed from nerodigital.com

What is the path you have dMC installed to, and what is the path where you put the neroaacenc.exe?

The DMC is in the my documents folder. There's an endoder folder there which contains an AAC folder and a m4a (nero) folder. There's also an endoder folder in the program files folder and a decoder folder in the program files folder.

I copied and pasted the neroaacenc from the aac folder to the m4a nero folder and it works now. Thanks. I'm not sure why I have encoder folders in 2 different places, probably because I uninstalled and installed a couple of times. What is the path that the DMC should have been installed to?

should I re-install, move some of the folders, or just leave it as is since it works?

I'm having the same problem. Though I'm trying to convert aac he to aac lc I'm assuming its the same problem. I looked in the directory that you gave the last person and I didn't have a folder labeled mp4a so I made one and put the encoder in it and it's still not working. Any help would be appreciated.
Here's where the encoder is currently: D:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp\encoder\m4a Nero (AAC) (I made the folder that's in bold.)
O and when it tells me to download them the browser page just stays white.
                          Thanks in advance guys!

Did you install the m4a dMC codec? Check dBpoweramp Configuration (see "need to find your version?" below) to see if the codec shows as installed. Just creating the folder isn't enough, you have to install the codec. Also, do you mean the download page for the Nero files or the dMC codec file?
