What type of WAV files are you trying to make, as it appears you are trying to make compressed WAV files? How small are you trying to go?

What do you mean by the codecs aren't installing right? If you're trying to install codecs from Codec Central, you are going to have to use the Legacy Codec Central, as the main Codec Central is only for codecs of r12 and newer.
