    Output Location

    Hi -

    I am trying to work with music converter. Can you help me with an output location solution? I would like to convert some .FLAC recordings from their original location;

    D:\Artist\Album\artist - album - track - title.flac

to an external drive. I would like the destination structure to look like this:

    F:\Artist - Album\artist - album - track - title.mp3

I played with the "folder" and "dynamic" selections in the output portion of the program but haven't really been able to get what I need.

I am game for whatever. A script that I can run with "run external" under dsp effects would be fine, I just don't know how to go about writing such a thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Best,
    WF

    Re: Output Location

    Sorry -

I figured it out. Hate to be a "panic poster" but I could have sworn that I tried the now working solution without success. Just in case anyone read this and is interested; this is what worked:

In Windows, just open an explorer window and navigate to the files you want to convert, select them, right click them and select convert to.

When the dbPoweramp window opens be sure that you have your destination folder and path correctly in the output location input section.

Under "Folder", enter the destination path. for example, here's one I use on my pc:
    F:\ipod Music\

    Under "Dynamic", enter the following:
    [artist] - [album]\[artist] - [album] - [track] - [title]

The thing that I wasn't doing is leaving the little radio button on Dynamic. If you leave it on Folder, as I had been doing the converted files do not go to the prescribed folders.
