    Problem With Lame

When I use the Alt Preset ABR 64 kbps 22050 HZ to convert an mp3(or any other file with DMC RC10 Beta 3, the following message comes up,

The CODEC required to compress '*name of file.mp3*' could not be opened.

Certain combinations are non starters, I think you have found one.

I get the same message no matter what combination I try or what file type I try to convert with dMC r9. So far I have not been able to convert a single file to MP3. I've also tried GoGo and the old Lame 3.7 and they crash or just do nothing creating a 0 length MP3 file.

-Thanks for the attention and a great product

PS Found a combination that works (after going back through the threads) 128Kbps CBR. This is a real trap for newbies like me, do I now have to try every combination to see which ones work or is 128Kbps CBR good enough for me create background music for presentation CDs?
