    freedb tags

Ho do I get dMC to download tags from freedb please? I got lotsa .flac music on my HDDs, and I'd love to be able to both convert that to .wma and import tags at the same time. (foobar2000 does tagging, unfortunately I cannot get it to encode to .wma on my system :( .)

    Many thanks.

(Myeah, I could, of course, use foobar (or something else) to do the tagging, however it wouldn't be that elegant, and it would be a hassle)

dMC only uses the meta-data providers (including freedb) when ripping a CD, it doesn't use them when converting existing files. Personally, I have used "The Godfather" for this purpose.

Boy, and dMC was this close to being the perfect converter! That is a major shortcoming as far as I am concerned, so you may want to add this feature to your "to implement" list (and, methinks, shouldn't be too hard as long as it's been implemented in your CD ripper, so you just attach that module to dMC as well).

Ripping CDs? That is so last century! Who does that anymore? :D
