Help with iTunes (m4a AAC) converter

I had been using the iTunes (m4a AAC) converter to rip all my cd's into a separate folder for backup purposes. Now when I try to rip a cd all I get is 0 byte files and iTunes does not automatically convert the file and it is left in iTunes with an old dos name like ~WORD01. The only thing I have done is update to iTunes 7.7. It worked fine in 7.6.2. Any help would be appreciated. The iTunes (m4a AAC) converter was created by the iTunesEncode thread.

That is why we stopped supporting this method as it is liable to break each iTunes update.
