    lame.exe converting error

I just upgraded to dBpoweramp r13 and I'm getting lots of errors converting flac (release 11, 1.2.1) to mp3 (lame 3.97).
While converting a ripped cd, I get a bunch of errors from windows (Vista32) for each song with problems, "lame.exe has stopped working".
"Check for a solution online.. or close program."
I can reconvert failed files and after a few tries all the songs get converted.
Below is a copy of one of the music converter errors.

Error converting to mp3 (Lame), 'D:\Music Flack\Stevie Nicks\Timespace; The Best of Stevie Nicks\10 - Timespace; The Best of Stevie Nicks - Edge of Seventeen.flac' to 'D:\Music\JR Music\Stevie Nicks\Timespace; The Best of Stevie Nicks\10 - Timespace; The Best of Stevie Nicks - Edge of Seventeen.mp3'
Error writing audio data to StdIn Pipe [clEncoder::EncodeBlock]

    Any idea what's wrong?

    Re: lame.exe converting error

What is the bits and frequency if your FLAC files? What bitrate and frequency did you choose for your mp3 files? Are both files stereo/joint stereo?

      Re: lame.exe converting error

Under dBpoweramp Configuration: Codec Advanced ,
"Decoder Options" mp3 Decoder output is 16 bit.
"Encoder Options" flac IDTag Padding is 4KB
      Under Music Converter, Units:
      Channels: x [Description] : 2 (stereo)
Bit Rate: xxx kbs [Description] : 1,411 kbps (CD)
      Frequency xx.x KHz: 44.1 KHz
Check For "Append [CD / DVD /DAT] to freduencies, bits & channels

mp3 conversion is "Quality VBR -V2 -vbr-new [estimated bit rate: 190kbps]

I hope this the info you asked for.
      Thanks for the help.

Are you able to upload that flac file or email it to me?

            Spoon,
While I was waiting for a suggestion, my pc crashed. I had overclocked it some over the weekend, and it was running fine, but since it just blue screened, I backed down on the fsb and increased the ram voltage. Now no errors with flac conversion. Duh!!!
Thanks for all your help, and sorry for seeking help with a problem I seem to have caused myself!
