Coverted MP3 to MP3pro and lost the ID3v2.3-Tag

    Hi!

When I convert an MP3-file with ID3v1 and ID3v2.3 Tag to mp3pro with the 'MP3Pro (CLI)' I lose the v2.3-Tag.

Do anybody know, how to solve this problem?

Is there an ID3-Tag Editor which makes it easy just to copy these Tags to the new encoded files?

I have noticed some funniness with tags and mp3pro, do you still have the default dMC mp3 decoder installed? or the mp3Pro one (the default dMC mp3 decoder is needed to write the tags to the mp3pro file).

      Perhaps that's the problem.
      I've installed the mp3-pro decoder

        No that wasn't the problem.

I deinstalled everything (dBpowerAMP + Codecs) and reinstalled only

        dMC-r10beta2.exe
        dMC-Mp3-MP3PRO-Encoder-CLI.exe
        mp3PROAudioPlayer_v1_1_0.exe
        dMC-PowerPack.exe

tried again and the ID3v2.3 was lost again. :(

          ID3v1 and ID3v2.3
Didn't read that early bit, you need the current Beta version of dMC for these tags to be read correctly (when both v1 and v2 are in the same file).

            Which Beta Version?

            I have installed "dMC-r10beta2.exe"

Yes R10beta 2 should work (uninstall old version first as version numbers are not increased in betas).

Try converting to a normal mp3 file, are the tags transfered? (set dMC to write both v1 and v2).

                O.k.
now I've tried it with another file and it worked.
perhaps the tag from the other file was corrupted.

                But:

the converter deletes the images and lyrics. :(

Images and lyrics are not supported, and possibly for a while they require a redesign of all codecs.
