    mp3s won't play

I have converted all of my cd's to mp3 and now they won't play on my mp3 player. All the mp3s I downloaded from the net and put on cd's in mp3 format work. I am using win98se and nero. I was reading your forum and was reading about the tags could this be the prob? I don't understand the tag thing.

Hold the mouse over them, the yellow popup info will say if they have a ID3V2 tag (possibly the cause of problems).

Another thing it might be - VBR mp3s or perhaps the type of CD-R you are writing to.

An example is I have 4 albums on 1 cd, I checked and they are all ID3V1. These are the same brand of cd's. I have put mp3 files the same way in a folder but used downloaded music and they work.

it reads for a few min like it is gong to work and then it says wrong disc/error.

My mom got me the player for christmas. It is one of thoses vcr dvd/cd/mp3 players and I know it was not probably real expensive.the guide doesn't say a whole lot.
I downloaded music match and converted another cd into mp3s and it worked. I like your program better for converting though. I will just have to play with it some more.
Also I put the disc's into my son's portable player and they work.
I think it just the fact that it is a cheap player, you get what you pay for. I was planning on making myself a big music libary of mp3s. I have been borrowing everyone I know cds and converting them...I spent a couple of days on this and even printed out the playlists to put in each pocket of the case with the cds.

Perhaps Musicmatch is putting the mp3s in folders?

I think I have figured it out, but now how do I fix it.

When I ripped the cds using your program I made a folder with the name of the album and changed the file names to just the song. My player only displays 14 letters so all you would see would be the album if I left the filenames alone. Musicmatch ripped them into a foler with the name of the album and then the songs listed in the folder .

I just came back here to post this and you had the same idea I did about the folders.

If you click the 'Advanced' button on the page that is shown just before burning starts you can set ISO Level 1.
