Upgrading R12.4 to R13

I am running registered R12.4 with a bunch of codecs and addins.

I just downloaded R13 (thanks for the very easy process of getting the upgraded registered version).

Do I need to uninstall R12.4? Do all my 12.4 version codecs and addins work ivn R13? Do I need to unistall or reinstall them?

Sorry for the noob questions, but I can't find any information on the upgrade process.

The Codecs wont get uninstalled if u uninstall R12.4 as the R13 setup wants. It didn't happen here what i did it 2day

When installing R13 it will ask to uininstall the older version, let it. Codecs are untouched.

I installed my R13 Reference on top of my 12.4 (I said not to remove during installation like with the beta version). Seems to be working fine. Should I go back and uninstall and reinstall everything or am I OK as is. thanks!

No, at worst you might have some files left from R12 which are no longer in R13, so if R13 is uninstalled those few files are left. No big problem.
