    question about ID3v1 and ID3v2.3

I have read somewhere that having more than one tag can cause problems with some applications. I have ID3v1 and ID3v2.3 on most of my FLAC files.

Q1- Is it true that having more than one tag type can cause problems? Advantages and disadvantages please.

Q2. Is there a way to have batch convert or ripper to do only ID3c2.3?

    Thanks!

    2. Yes, by default dMC only does Vorbis Comments or ID3v2 when it creates a FLAC file, there is no option to do ID3v1 at all.

Flac files should have vorbis comments.

Ok so if I use ripper I will get vorbis comments. Then when I use batch convert I will have ID3v2.3 only? Is that correct?

No, the FLAC files have whatever tags you tell dMC to write, ID3v2 or Vorbis Comments. What Spoon is saying is that the standard tags for FLAC is Vorbis Comments.
