Help Needed - Trimming Silence on exisitng MP3s

    Hello,

I have over 50G of CDs ripped as MP3 files. I would like to trim the silence at the begining and the end.

What is the best way of doing it? They were all ripped at 224Kbps. Can I convert them to MP3 with the same bit rate but applying the Trim Silence DSP?

Will that screw up the files?

    Suggestion?

    Thanks!

You will lose a small amount of quality converting from mp3 to mp3, but this is unavoidable and the best way to do it.

      Thanks!

That's what I was thinking. I will be applying the Trim Silence DSP from now on to new CD conversion.
