    ripping to a single file?

I'm a newbie to dBpoweramp. I've just been using it to convert my CDs into single flac files. Sometimes I download a CD that's been converted into a single Flac file. I was wondering whether or not this can this be done with the dBpoweramp? or do i need some other software? thanks

This function will be available in r13 of CD Ripper currently undergoing beta testing. Check out the beta forum.

It was available in versions up to r11.5 but didn't make an appearance in r12.

thanks! Figures I came at the wrong time. Gonna see if there's a previous version out there available.

btw, I already have ripped several cds where the flac files are individual files. Does anyone know of any free program out there that might combine these individual files?

Here is a link to the download of r11.5: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/legacy-compatibility.htm

Note that the feature to rip to one file is a power pack feature, so after the 30-day trial runs out you will need to purchase the PowerPack. And don't worry that you will be purchasing r12.4, you can request a registered install of r11.5 as stated here: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=12280

thank you. I downloaded it and it said that my trial period has expired?! (I've never used the powerpack before as far as I know). When you pay the $18 for registeration, do you have to continually pay this amount each year to use the "rip to one file" feature?

            No, just once.

Re: ripping to a single file?

I just bought a registered version of 11.5. I installed and everything seemed to be working fine. I pressed the "rip to one" button and got this error when trying to convert it to FLAC

The output file '\\CdRom\Modest Mussorgsky - All.wav' could not be opened.

I then tried it without using "rip to one" and I got the same message for each individual track.

              Am I doing something wrong?

Check your output location and make sure it is set to a local drive.

it's supposed to go right to my desktop...that's a local drive right?

You clicked options and verified the output location was the desktop? Then yes, that would be a local drive.

yes, I did that. There's a folder I keep all of my ripped CDs in and it's set to that. Am I just screwed with this version? It was working perfectly fine in the newest version. Should I just wait until r13 comes out? When is that supposed to come out?

You are using the Audio CD Input program to rip the CD and not the Music Convertor itself?

Install R12 then R13 over the top, it is fully functional.

I was using the Audio CD input program, or I should say I used whatever popped up when I first put the CD in. After your suggestion I went to the Music Converter and tried it. It said that I don't have FLAC codec installed but I do. It asked me if I wanted to connect to the internet and download it and I said yes, but then nothing happens. In any event, even if it had recognized the FLAC codec, there was no "rip to button" as far as I could see.

I installed R12 over the 11.5 registered and it just switched to r12 it lost the "rip to one" function. I didn't think there was a R13? Isn't that still in beta testing?
