    MP2 gets shortened

I'm converting an Mp3 to an Mp2. It's the soundtrack of a DivX, to be the soundtrack of a VCD.

The problem is that the original Mp3, and the movie are 1:35.05 and the created Mp2 is 1:34.00 meaning that by the end of the movie there is a one secong lag between the picture and the audio.

Does anyone know why it does this or how to correct it?

It sounds like a problem which I come across a lot with MP2's
and it's almost always with 44.1kHz as sample rate. The problem
is generally a miscalculation in the player.

The frame length for 44.1kHz comes out as a fraction which is
    sometimes rounded-up and othertimes rounded-down.

Do you actually miss audio at the end? ...and do you get the
correct length if you create an MP2 with a sample rate of 48kHz
from your MP3 file (instead of 44.1kHz)?

    Regards,
    Daren.
