    Can not convert wma file

I am getting the following error:

    Error converting to FLAC, 'E:\Entertainment\English Music\Neil Diamond\Neil Diamond - Heartlight\01 Heartlight.wma' to 'E:\Entertainment\English Music\Neil Diamond\Neil Diamond - Heartlight\01 Heartlight.flac'
Error opening file 'E:\Entertainment\English Music\Neil Diamond\Neil Diamond - Heartlight\01 Heartlight.wma' check no other program has it open and file is not protected. [clDecoder::Open]
I am not really sure why is this happening. I can assure that no other program was using this file while I was trying to convert. I tried other formats like LAME Mp3, but I received similar error.

Previously I have converted this file using iTunes to synchronize this file with my iPod. So I have no idea why I can't convert it to FLAC.

Can some one please help me out? :(

Perhaps dBpoweramp does not have permission to write to that disk?

Can you play the file in Windows Media Player? What about converting to "Test Conversion" to make sure dMC can read the file? What version of dMC are you running?

                    Hi
I've just joined and am having problems ripping Cds to wma.
This is the message I am getting:
Unable to create compression codec ' OggVorbis
                    please check software installation.

First time I've had any problem with it.
Can anyone help me out please?
                    Thanks

Re: Can not convert wma file

Ok, it seems that the problem is resolved. After going through the config of DMC, I found that it does not have WMA codec installed. I have installed it and there was no problem while I converted to m4a. Though winamp could not play this converted file, but VLC could...:(

Duckman: you're ripping to WMA and it gives you an error about Ogg Vorbis?
