Skype made Auxiliary Input quit working

Hello. I'm a longtime and enthusiastic user of Auxiliary Input. It is configured to receive its signal from the "microphone" input from my sound card. I recently bought and installed a Logitech webcam and installed Skype, which meant I had to plug in a physical microphone in the back of the system unit. Now Auxiliary Input gets no signal. It does not seem to matter whether Skype is running or not. I have physically unplugged the microphone too, but Auxiliary Input no longer gets a signal. Any ideas to make these two programs coexist would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Skype made Auxiliary Input quit working

I think I have solved this problem. It appears that the webcam software I installed changed the settings on Recording Control dialog from Wave Out Mix, which Auxilary Input requires, to Microphone, which the Webcam software needs. This caused Auxilary Input to stop seeing the audio from my sound card. It appears I'll need to remember to check Microphone when I want to use Skype, and then click Wave Out Mix when I want to use Auxilary Input again. Hope this saves someone some grief.
