    MEX Codec

I have been pretty happy with DBPowerAmp. Today it started putting up a window that said I should download a mex codec. I don't want the codec but if I say no the converter for mp3 won't work. If I say yes, I am taken to a page where I can't find such a codec. I would just like the converter to work like it always has. How do I fix this?

Does the link take you here:
      http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central.htm ?

This is where the link should take you. If this is happening, then Music Converter is not able to read your filee and is assuming that it is in a format that it needs a codec to read. But there is no such codec which is why you don't find it. If you right-click on this file do you see an option labelled Convert To or not? Does this file happen to be on a PDA or phone or some such? Can you tell us the format it should be in, the frequency, bits, number of channels and bit-rate?

      Best wishes,
      Bill

Where did you get these .mex files? Are you sure they are audio files?
