I'm trying to convert a bunch of mp3pro files to regular MP3 format, but when I do this I lose all tag information. The tag info does transfer correctly if I do a Lame-to-Lame conversion. I'm running Vista and using the mp3pro decoder available from Codec Central. I installed in_mp3pro.dll just as requested.

What type of ID Tags are in the mp3pro file? (id3v2.4?) -

Hold the mouse over the mp3pro file, does dBpoweramp show the ID Tag? hold it over a new converted file, does it show the tag?Comment

dbpoweramp does not show any tag info for the mp3pro file, aside from id3v1 as the type, and thus does not for the converted mp3 file either. is there some way to automatically reformat the tags so they are recognizable by the program?Comment

There is nothing to get wrong with id3v1, it is a fixed structure. If it is blank then there are no tags in the mp3pro file.Comment

Actually, no. Windows Vista shows the tag info fine in Windows Explorer, and MusicMatch Jukebox created (and reads) the tags on my XP Pro computer. It's just an issue with dbpoweramp.Comment

R12 can read the tags (there are id3v2 and id3v1 in the file you sent):
The id3v1 tag at the end is blank, but the id3v2 tag is being read by dbpoweramp.
